Thin Lizzy, Queens Hall, Leeds, 10 February 1983

Queens Hall, Leeds was the next venue, and in attendance were Thin Lizzy on their Thunder & Lightning Tour. We did not know at the time, but this would turn into the final tour with charismatic Phil Lynott at the helm, as he would die less than 2 years later. I had already seen Thin Lizzy twice at Manchester Apollo. Manchester gigs would typically be arranged for Saturday evenings during the football season allowing Lynott to head over for a match during the afternoon.

It was an all-standing arena, meaning that once in I was going to be able to take photos with little risk of challenge, but the issue was going to be getting near enough to get some of decent quality. I should not really have worried, as again I could use my size to anchor myself somewhere not too far from the stage.
